I was born and raised in Aurora IL. I spent sometime doing radio in Davenport, IA. Please don't hold that against me. I moved to Springfield about 5 years ago and have been with Alice since the inception. Is anyone still reading this? I mean could I just type poop over and over again without anyone noticing? Let's try out that theory, poop, poop, poop. Wow, you are still reading.

Well since you made it through all the poop what else can I tell you about myself? I am a huge sports fan; baseball, football, basketball, hockey, you name it. Favorite teams include the Chicago Blackhawks, the Chicago Cubs, Gonzaga Bulldogs, and much to the chagrin of my office mate Josie, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I have been to over 300 concerts in my life. Some of my favs include, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Rancid, and Social Distortion just to name a few. I also enjoy long walks on the beach, wait this isn't an e-harmony profile this is a station bio. Plus I am already married to an amazing woman, whom I am sure you have heard me talk about on more than a few occasions. Thanks for reading and listening.

Playoff Beard Progress

Wow my first blog post, I feel like it should be accompanied by the theme from Doogie Howser. Don't worry you won't learn some valuable lesson by the end of this blog post. However you will learn about a NHL phenomenon called the playoff beard. It originted back in the 1980's with the New York Islanders, as a sign of team solidarity they decided not to shave until they were either eliminated from the playoffs or won the Stanley Cup. As luck would have it they won the Cup and the playoff beard was born. Now us hockey fans can get in on the action through the NHL's Beardathon. Hockey fans sign up to grow a beard in support of their team and all the proceeds go to help a charity of that team's choice. As evidenced by the accompanying pic my team is the Chicago Blackhawks and their charity is Blackhawks Charities, which helps under priveleged kids state wide. You can check out my page and make a donation if so inclined here. Thanks for reading and GO HAWKS!
